Chapel Lawn WI meets every second Tuesday of the month in the Village Hall. We are a very friendly group and our meetings are informal and sociable. Meeting start at 7pm with any business matters and then we move swiftly on to our speaker or activity for the evening. We plan an interesting and varied programme and members are consulted so that we can make popular choices. The final part of the evening is a chance for refreshments and a good natter.

There is a light-hearted competition each month, with a few awards to encourage members to have a go. We also enjoy getting together to produce group entries for the Clun and Knighton summer shows. We have a good spread of skills between us and it is always an enriching experience.

We arrange extra activities on an ad hoc basis for any members who are interested and sometimes partners too. Events include trips to the cinema, restaurants, places of interest and steak and 10 pin bowling night, also practical workshops like silk painting, cookery and jewellery making. We have been to Ludlow Plant Centre a few times to learn about making hanging baskets and filling planters.

If you would like to find out more about us, you are very welcome to come along to a couple of meetings as a visitor. If you would like more information or want to arrange to come to a meeting, please get in touch.
